Randy and Jennifier are originally from Livingston County, KY. They make their home in Eddyville. Randy retired after 20 years of service with the Western Ky. Correctional Complex as Head Captain. He's also a former Marine and member of the Presidential Honor Guard and also retired from the National Guard where he was a Master Sergeant. He formerly served at Friendship Baptist Church in Livingston County as their Youth Minister. He also works for Envirosmart in the Land Between the Lakes region.
Jennifier works for and volunteers in the Lyon County School District. She is a talented singer and is also heavily involved with our youth program as well as having a beautiful singing voice.
Meagan (not pictured) is a graduate of Lyon Cty. High School who is studying to become a nurse. She has a sweet spirit, a tender heart, is extremely friendly and is a lot of fun to be around.
Abigail is a graduate of Lyon County High School. She's involved in Sunday School, the Youth dept. at KFBC, is a former member of the all-state KBC childrens and youth choirs and participates in many other church activities. She's also an awesome singer. Abigail is outgoing and everyone enjoys getting to know her. She's a hoot!
Joshua attends Lyon County High School, is active in hunting and in the youth at KFBC. Josh always has a smile on his face and is very sincere in his faith in Christ.
We are excited to have Bro. Randy and his family at Kuttawa Baptist. They have a love for Christ and a passion for youth and people in general. When you get to know them, you'll agree.
Bill is originally from the St. Louis, MO area and Beth grew up in Jacksonville, IL. They met while in college at Hannibal-LaGrange College (now Hannibal LaGrange University) in Hannibal, MO. Bill and Beth worked several years for Hannibal-LaGrange upon graduation. Bill is also a singer/songwriter who travels and ministers in concert as his schedule allows. Before moving to Kuttawa, Bill worked for Belmont University in Nashville, TN where their daughter Natalie was born in 1999. Bill has become very involved in mission work in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico with Gospel Saturation and Christian Education projects. He loves southern gospel music, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. He also loves to crack "one liners".
Beth is an Adult Educator for the GED program of Lyon County, KY and a leader in our "JFK" "Just For Kids" program. She's a hard worker and committed to meet needs in her church and community. Beth loves to read, especially with her ipad where she can download lots of free books from CBD!
Natalie is 17 years old and is a Junior at Christian Fellowship School in Benton, KY. She enjoys learning Spanish and is a very creative person who likes writing songs/funny stories etc. And, of course she loves her phone. Natalie is active in the youth group at KFBC . And oh yes, she has a male cat named "Sissy". (It's a long story!)
Pastor Carl and Pam Nelson
Bro. Carl and Pam are natives of Hopkins County and lived several years in Muehlenberg County before coming here to Kuttawa in May of 2002. They have two grown children. Carla, who is living in Kuttawa KY. and Jeff, who lives in Paducah, KY. with his wife Lynette and sons Michael and Danny.
Bro. Carl is a graduate of Clear Creek Bible College and has completed course work at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to his ministry at KFBC, Bro. Carl is actively involved in missions in Mexico and currently serves as vice moderator for the Caldwell/Lyon Baptist Association. He also enjoys gardening and sings in the KFBC choir. Bro. Carl is a good man who loves Jesus and is always there for the people he serves.
Pam is recently retired from the accounting firm of Thurman, Campbell and Co. of Princeton, KY. She has a beautiful singing voice and is a member of our choir. She has a "quick wit" (ask about her "choir zingers"), is great with kids and is a Sunday School teacher for the 4 and 5 year old class as well as being involved in Vacation Bible School and Nursery.
